Nail Trimming & Debriding to Maintain Healthy Nails – Addressing Nail Fungus

Proper nail care is essential for maintaining healthy nails and preventing infections, such as nail fungus. Regular trimming and debriding (the removal of dead or damaged tissue) can help keep nails clean, prevent them from becoming too long or ingrown, and minimize the risk of fungal infections.

Nail fungus, also known as onychomycosis, can cause nails to become discolored, thickened, and brittle, leading to discomfort and potential complications. To address nail fungus, Sandra may recommend a combination of topical treatments, oral medications, and diligent nail care practices, such as keeping nails clean and dry, effectively combating the infection and promoting healthier nails.

Callusing and Corn Reduction

Calluses and corns are thickened areas of skin that develop due to repeated friction or pressure on the feet. They can be uncomfortable and, if left untreated, may lead to more serious issues, such as ulcers or infections. Regular foot care, including callusing and corn reduction, can help ease discomfort and maintain overall foot health. Sandra gently exfoliates the affected area with a pumice stone or foot file and applies moisturizers to keep the skin soft and supple.

Onyfix Treatment for Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown toenails occur when the edge of a toenail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain, inflammation, and sometimes infection. Sandra uses Onyfix, a non-surgical treatment option designed to correct the curvature of the nail and promote healthy nail growth.

This innovative system uses a flexible, resin-based material applied directly to the nail, allowing it to gently reshape the nail’s growth path.
